Shipping & Aftercare
SHIPPING
International shipping is available.
Shipping costs & protection cover are the responsibility of the customer, which can be estimated prior to ordering using your country and postcode.
International couriers used are DHL, FedEx and ParcelForce. Artworks are sent with ‘Loss Only’ coverage. Please not majority of couriers will not provide additional coverage due to the delicate nature of artwork.
Every care is taken when packaging artwork, placemats and homeware items in order to prevent damage when transporting. First step is acid free tissue paper to protect the surface level of the resin. Then bubble wrap to provide cushioning before a layer of cardboard. Packaging boxes are always double walled cardboard for extra strength and protection, finishing off with fragile tape.
Elizabeth Blanchard Art is not liable or responsible for any losses or damage to artwork. Liability and responsibility end when the artwork is shipped.
Should receiving your items be delayed, then please contact us and we are ready to assist with tracking the item.
IMPORT TAX / CUSTOMS DUTIES
Please note that you as the customer are responsible for paying any import taxes and/or customs duties that may be requested upon delivery/collection of your artwork.
AFTERCARE
Artwork:
Elizabeth uses the highest quality professional grade ‘Art Resin’ with built-in UV stabilisers which prevent premature yellowing. To avoid damage such as yellowing or colour fading, please hang your artwork away from direct sunlight. Should you wish to clean your artwork of dust, we recommend a soft microfibre. For removing fingerprints you may use a gentle glass cleaner if required and buff clear with a lint free microfibre.
Whilst hardwearing, resin is not completely indestructible and care should be taken to prevent scratching when transporting. We recommend to first wrap in acid free tissue paper that has any creases ironed out, followed by bubble wrap. Please do not have bubble wrap in direct contact with the resin as it can potentially leave bubble marks.
Placemats:
The resin in the placemats is non toxic, scratch resistant & heat safe to 80°C. Exceeding this temperature on them risks heat marks & indentation. To clean your placemats simply wipe clean with a damp lint free microfibre. To remove water marks buff with a dry soft microfibre.
Over time small hairline scratches may appear from repeated use. This is normal and generally only visible when held under a light, the artwork itself will still be preserved within the resin placemat.
When storing the placemats we recommend they are kept out of direct sunlight to preserve their vibrance so that they may be enjoyed for many years to come.
